What is Knoppix?

A complete Linux distribution that runs directly from a bootable disc, Knoppix has many uses:

Traditional Remastering

  1. Copy entire Knoppix file system to disk
  2. chroot into file system
  3. Add/remove packages, edit files, etc.
  4. Exit chroot
  5. Create compressed loopback file system
  6. Create and test ISO
